What's the difference between flashing and hot swapping?
What is hot swapping and how do you do it?
The term hot swapping means you have to take your Xbox apart and you have to open the disk tray up. you then disable auto play, so the game doesn't load up automatically. you then hover over play game or install depending on what you want to do. NOTE you will need the normal retail game and the pre modded game to do this. you then hover over which one you want to do make sure the disk is spinning and then slow down the disk and quickly change over the normal disk to the modded one this confuses the Xbox thinking its an original copy. if you don't install it to your hard rive you will have do this every time there is no ways anymore you can hotswap without opening it. Note if you hotswap you loose your Xbox warranty and you are possibly are going to get banned. |
What does the term flashing a xbox360 mean?
The term flashing your Xbox means that you have to take your xbox360 apart just like hot swapping and you have to modify your disk tray so you can play pirated copies. there is a massive risk of flashing your Xbox because if there is a dashboard update it can reset the disk drive software or may just come up with errors and say you cant update your dashboard meaning you wont be able to go on Xbox live. flashing a xbox360 is a lot harder and you have to pay money to get the correct programs for flashing your drive. if this successfully works for you, you can put a modded copy of any game into your Xbox and it will read straight away and you don't have to install it. Note doing this will void your warranty but you have a slimmer chance of getting banned doing it this way.
